Canadian Valley's mission is to Improve Life and Serve Community. Our board of directors formed Operation Round-Up in 1999 to serve our membership. With enormous potential for helping people who desperately need the support of their neighbors, this program reminds people of how far a little generosity and cooperation can go toward improving a person's life. Designed to gather voluntary contributions to assist worthwhile projects in co-op communities, Operation Round-Up will assist in providing medical care and equipment, food, clothing, housing, and many other needed services. It can also aid rescue squads, volunteer fire departments, daycare centers, literacy programs, senior citizens centers, health clinics, and other critical non-profit community services. Operation Round-Up enables you, as a co-op member, to participate in this assistance. Because of your generosity, almost $2 million has been invested back into your communities!
How it Works
Each month, participating members will allow Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative to automatically round up their electric bill(s) to the next highest dollar. The difference will go into a fund that makes donations to individuals and organizations within our service territory. The maximum a member could pay per meter per year is $11.88. Individually, it isn't much, but if every Canadian Valley member participated, Operation Round-Up would have more than $150,000 annually to contribute to community needs. The Operation Round-Up Board of Directors determines how the funds are distributed.

Please fill out the application below to be considered a recipient of Operation Round-Up funds. Be specific with your request and detailed with the amount requested. If you have any questions, please call our office at any number listed on the application. Incomplete applications may be delayed or denied. Political campaigns and issues will not be considered for funding. You will be notified by mail of the board's decision on funding.

Will this money go into the funds at Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative?
• No. The CVEC Foundation Inc. is a trust set up completely separate from Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative.
Will these funds be used to pay people's electric bills?
• No. Other agencies assist in that manner.
