YOUTH TOUR
CVEC LAUNCHES 10TH YEAR OF YOUTH TOUR!
Two current high school juniors from CVEC's service area will receive an all-expense-paid week-long trip to Washington, D.C., as winners of the Youth Tour Scholarship. The scholarship is sponsored by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
The students will spend the week touring the museums and visiting historical monuments. In addition to visiting the museums and monuments, the Oklahoma winners have the opportunity to tour Mount Vernon, The US Capitol, the Pentagon, Ford's Theatre, and The White House and also spend time with winners from other states at NRECA's Youth Day.
2026 Youth Tour Contest Rules: Students must currently be classified as high school Juniors, and they will attend Youth Tour during their Senior Summer. They may attend any school (public, private, or home) within CVEC's service area. It is not necessary that the student's parent(s) or guardian(s) be Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative members.
